Right of Abode

Under the UK immigration laws the immigration status that gives an unrestricted right to live and work in the UK is referred to as the, 'Right of Abode'. If you are a British citizen you have the Right of Abode in the UK.

If you are a Commonwealth citizen you may be entitled to claim a Right of Abode.

In the case of dual nationals, i.e. people who are citizens of more than one country, it may be possible to gain Right of Abode.
