Childrens Matters

Upon separation parents are free to make whatever arrangements for their children in relation to residence and contact. The Children Act 1989 principle is that the court will make no order in relation to children unless necessary to do so in the best interest of the child. however, disputes about the welfare and upbringing of children can occur at any time, not only upon separation.

We deal with a wide variety of cases, including disputes about with whom the children should live, when they should see the other parent or other family members and obtaining financial provision for them.

We can help you with:

  • Living Arrangements
  • Contact Arrangements
  • Financial Arrangements
  • Involvement of Grandparents
  • Change of Name
  • Holidays or permanent moves abroad

We are also able to offer advice and assistance in child abduction matters when your child has been removed from the country without your consent.
