Awards
Lexcel
We are delighted to inform you that on 14th Sept 2011 our firm of Solicitors has again been recommended by the Law Society's independent Assessor for the renewal of its Lexcel Quality Mark. The accreditation by the Law Society is equivalent to the ISO9001 industry standard.
Only approximately 10% of Solicitors Practices in the UK achieve this Award and it is rare indeed for the standard to be maintained as we have done for the last 8 years. On this recent assessment we have secured the rare distinction of having no "non-compliances" even of a minor nature. The standards of management, risk control and file procedure appear to become more demanding each year and we are thus extremely pleased to be re-accredited after a detailed audit process involving interviews with randomly selected staff and probing file reviews by the Independent Assessor.

Investors In People 2010
A universally recognized award and industry standard, organizations that become an 'Investor in People' shows its commitment to continuous business improvement through its people... the people that serve our clients.
In his 2010 report, our independent assessor wrote of us:
"The Practice has now been recognised as an Investor in People for some years. As such, it clearly continues to demonstrate high standards in terms of training and developing its people and the ongoing coaching, mentoring and support which are offered to them. It has very effective processes and systems which are consistently implemented and were well evidenced during interview."
But again, this is the standard of professionalism our clients have come to expect – that is what is important to them.
Rest assured, we'll do all we can to meet those challenging standards this year and into the future.

Law Society Conveyancing Quality
In June 2011, SLP Solicitors became one of the first law firms in Stanmore and its surrounding area, to receive the new Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) award from the Law Society. We are delighted that we are amongst some of the first practices nationally to achieve accreditation under the new Conveyancing Quality Scheme. We are proud to operate to the highest standards at all times, and are completely aligned with the CQS values. Our level of service has for many years been second to none and we pride ourselves on our commitment to go the "extra mile" for our clients and so many would ask why undergo the rigorous assessment process to achieve the new accreditation?
For us securing the new CQS status was about more than ensuring that the firm would stand out to home buyers for its conveyancing services it was also about endorsing a process that would promote efficiency with common, consistent standards and service levels across the residential conveyancing market. It was about building more specifically on our existing Law Society accreditation known as Lexcel to strive for even higher standards of professional service. Moving house is a huge financial and emotional investment and has traditionally been described as one of the most stressful life events. It can be very difficult for potential sellers or buyers to decide who to use when it comes to solicitors and they are often reliant on recommendations from friends, colleagues or in many cases their estate agent.
Many buyers and sellers feel that all solicitors are the same and make their decision purely on the strength of their fees. In such an important and sizeable transaction this can often end up being a false economy. The accreditation scheme provided us with an opportunity to boost public awareness of the need to choose legal representatives carefully. In what is already a crowded conveyancing market, the scheme will ensure that the public, lenders and insurers will be able to easily identify CQS practices with the knowledge that the service offered will be of a truly excellent standard.
The scheme also ensures that our professional introducers and in particular estate agents can rely on the accreditation to make recommendations to their clients. For any professional, making a bad recommendation can have real consequences for their own relationship with their client. It is important therefore that an introducer feels confident that the service they are promoting to their client is one of quality. In addition the fact that scheme has to be renewed annually means that both clients and professional introducers can be assured that our standard remain high.
The fact that the conveyancing team has yet again been recognised by an independent body for their quality has encouraged them to continue to strive to stand out from the competition.
